Tuesday Photo Numero Uno.

Here goes; a try at blogging more. Most weeks, even in June, I feel like my feet don’t touch the ground for long enough to blog. The great irony here is that they’re actually very firmly on the ground while I’m at my iMac for about 10 hours each day carefully selecting, processing, and delivering photos of the wonderful couples who chose me to photograph their day. After that, it’s album design, prints, packaging, client meetings, and all the other goodness that goes with running a wedding photography business.

So, this is my attempt at a weekly post. Just one photo. One, that for whatever reason, popped into my mind on Tuesday that week. I might have seen it while looking for another photo, I might have found it while designing an album, or it could be from the wedding I shot in the weekend.

Either way, it will be a photo that I love; because of the people, the detail, the scenery, the wedding, the love.

Tuesday #1

Abby and Dave.

I’ve yet to blog post the awesomeness that was this gorgeous little wedding with just their closest family and friends at Coney Wines in Martinborough. After the ceremony, the amazing chef packed up a cute little picnic basket with bubbly and some lunch, to fortify the wedding party before some photos and the reception. Together with Abby’s bridesmaids and Dave’s groomsman, we walked across the road to the pastures next door (that the farmer turned off the electric fence for – it’s the little things right?) and they sat down to enjoy a moment of peace while their guests tucked into some gorgeous looking canapés and champagne back at the venue. The photos afterward were all in the same field, and it was perfect.
