If there’s a cool story to tell about the shed where you first realised your partner was the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with, then that story simply has to be told.
Wellington mag FishHead ran a wedding special in September, kindly featuring some of my work alongside some great tips for local couples planning their big day. One of those was choosing photo locations that mean something to you personally, and I couldn’t agree more.
A shed is never just a shed if it reminds you of a formative point in your relationship and photos that capture places or objects in that way are huge fun to look back on. You can keep reliving it over and over as you tell the story to family and friends, which is really what getting wedding photos is all about in the first place.
There’s beauty everywhere, so it doesn’t matter where you had your first kiss or how much you spent on dinner; the places you connected with as a couple are always going to be special.
