For hiring me to be your wedding photographer in 2012. For the privilege of standing beside you all and reflecting back to you the parts of your day that you allowed me to see.
For all the kind words from mothers of the brides, for all the fathers of the brides insisting I take some food home with me, for all the bridesmaids who trekked through paddocks in high heels and made it into a game, for all the groomsmen who carried the bridesmaids’ flowers and coats when we trekked back, for all the guests who stopped to say hi, and for all the children who ran around after me asking me to take their picture (I’d love to, you’re all so cute).
And to all the brides and grooms – thank you, from the bottom of my heart – it’s an honour capturing your wedding day, and it humbles me to the core. I wish you all the best in your long, happy lives together.
I’m shooting my last wedding of the year tomorrow on New Year’s Eve and I’m so thankful to be heading into 2013 knowing I get to do this all again next year.
Here’s to you.
And because a photographer doesn’t post without a photo, and because it’s the interwebs, here’s the sweetest cat in the world being curious about Victoria and N’cee’s wedding rings.
