My wedding photography editing workspace/studio

This blog is primarily a vehicle for displaying the results of the weddings I shoot week to week, and for celebrating the love of those good people who hire me to capture and tell the story of their big day. I love my work, and this forum will always be more about my clients than me.

That said, it’s sometimes cool for people to be able to get behind the creative process, especially when they’re looking at working with someone. For photographers, and others working in the visual design medium, a big part of that creative process is about space.

This is my work space. Simple, neutral tones. Lots of light. A dog. That’s really all I need, which is lucky because I spend A LOT of time at this desk. The one piece of flair is the print by James Jean, which was bought for me by my husband Sam.

The dog, little delight that she is, is named Meadow. She thinks she is my boss.

I dream of having a workspace that is so clean. What is your secret?!

The location of your desk is perfect. You can get tons of natural light coming in, but keep the glare to a minimum.
The artwork is awesome, but what is the little rain cloud thing on the left?

It’s so serene. And it perfectly matches with your style of photos 🙂 I dream of huge room just for myself and my working. Dreams – they’re good to have, right 😀

Nick; terrified of spilling water on the Mac so I keep it sparse 🙂

Ryan; I love winter, rain, snow etc, such a beautiful season. It’s nice to have something to remind me. I’ll have to come to your end of Canada soon and have a proper winter!

That looks like a wonderful space! So clean and simple. My space, unfortunately, is quite the opposite! 🙁

I like you table and your work space. It has a simple clear feeling to it and the picture conveys that.

What a beautiful place to do your work, so clean, simple and free from distractions. Looks like Meadow thinks you should be getting back to work right now with that quizzical eye you’re getting from her!
